Environmental Responsibility

Seven Seas recognises that it is part of the local community and is completely committed, through its operational practices, to protect the local and wider environment.

Seven Seas will:

  • Use best endeavours to minimise environmental damage involved with the manufacture and storage of our products, whilst maintaining the safety, quality and competitiveness of our products.
  • Comply fully with all statutory regulations applicable to the company and the facility which it operates.
  • Conserve resources, particularly those which are scare or non-renewable.
  • Minimise or recycle waste to as great an extent as possible.
  • Monitor the operation of the process plants, emissions to air, waste water discharge and disposal of waste products.
  • Provide the information and skills necessary to enable employees to operate the equipment and processes properly to ensure minimal practical effect on the environment.
  • Assess, in advance, the environmental effects of any significant new development and adjust the Company's plans accordingly in line with the Company's environmental policy and guidelines.

Health & Safety

We will continue to enhance the sense of responsibility of all our employees on matters concerning the environment, workplace safety, and health-protection issues. Seven Seas complies fully with all applicable health, welfare and safety legal requirements, and during 2005, Seven Seas achieved the BSC Annual Safety Award, for a noteworthy 22nd consecutive year.

Community & Charity Support

Seven Seas and its employees regularly undertake charitable activities, including financial support, for Local, National and International Causes. Seven Seas is involved in local education programmes.
