Is CLO suitable for diabetics?

In controlled trials in NIDDM (non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus – Type II) patients, the use of fish oils did not result in significant changes in plasma glucose levels. Neither was there a change in the levels of glycosylated haemoglobin, a more important measure of diabetic (or glycaemic) control. There is no scientific evidence to show that routine use of omega 3 polyunsaturate-rich fish oils contributes to the development of NIDDM directly.

It is always advisable for anyone who is being treated, with or without medication, for any illness or condition to consult his/her doctor before taking food supplements.
