Ring out the Old Ring in the New

At the approach of Spring and the change of the clocks in March, we need to prepare ourselves for another exciting year.

Although it is true that some people experience a type of seasonal depression and the incidence of flu and flu-like illnesses does goes up from the onset of Winter through until Summer, most of us can help stay well by sticking to the usual healthy lifestyle guidelines:

  • a healthy diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Eating light, fresh and well will help keep off the pounds too.
  • outdoor exercise helps lift your mood, gives your body a workout and, oddly enough, boosts energy levels.

If you are unlucky enough to be hit by a virus, stay home to avoid infecting others.

Changes in the weather

It's important to look after our joints. Many people feel very strongly that changes in the weather affect their joints and indeed studies have shown that low temperature and humid wet conditions do make a difference.

It is important to exercise and keep active throughout the year if you want to keep your joints healthy. Exercise keeps supporting muscles strong. As a reward for your efforts, promise yourself a long soak in a warm bath afterwards - before too if you fancy it. Warmth helps loosen joints and muscles before exercise and aids relaxation afterwards.

Supplements can also help care for hardworking joints. The Seven Seas JointCare range comprises six formulations, all targeting joint health and all featuring glucosamine sulphate at varying levels and in different combinations with other joint-friendly ingredients such as cod liver oil, omega-3 fatty acids and chondroitin. Jointcare MAX contains a high strength glucosamine tablet and a high strength cod liver oil capsule providing a high strength formulation for your joints.
